As a die hard Italy fan, I couldn't have been any happier when I saw the referee pull out that red card - and Zidane walk off the soccer pitch - that was France's chance of winning walking off. But, that was all in the heat of the moment. Upon further reflection - I started thinking - WHAT set him off? He's experienced, he's been thru it all - it would HAVE to be something major for a world class soccer star to lose it. There are plenty of rumours about what words were exchanged between Zinedine Zidane and Marco Materazzi during the 2006 World Cup Final. I'm curious about what everyone out there thinks was said so - leave me a comment!

As far as me being a die-hard Italy fan - that ended right there - now it's Vive La France! Nah, I'm not fickle - just don't like bullshyt - and definitely don't like football players that use bullshyt to get them what they want.

Zidane is still one of the best players ever - and he should continue to be respected as such. Everyone has the right to stand up for themselves at some point - unfortunately for Zidane this time came in the World Cup Final. It's sad that his career had to end this way - but nevertheless, he's still a hero in my books! As for Materazzi - wonder what he would do if someone dissed his momma?! - Probably go running right back to his momma huh?
